CARPE DIEM LOCATION
Traditional architecture, remains of neo-classical mansions, small narrow paths leading up the hillside, petite white houses, castles, vineyards, churches, breathtaking sunsets... This is the village of Pyrgos, a truly magical place.
Situated just 5km from Santorini’s capital, Fira, the village can be found at the highest point of Santorini, with panoramic views of the whole island all the way to the village of Oia. It is composed of traditional houses built and the small streets follow the shape of the hill around the Venetian Castle, which is one of the five on the island of Santorini and dates back to the 13th century. The houses are the perfect example of Cycladic design and in superb condition.
Located on the hillside of the medieval village of Pyrgos, Carpe Diem seems to be springing up from the slop of the hill, claiming one of the most panoramic views of this exquisite Cycladic Island.
